Our Story
Elizabeth’s Daycare and Preschool Center is a family-owned and operated business that provides quality childcare services.
We started as a licensed home childcare facility in East Arlington, MA, in October 2006. Due to the high demand for our services, we expanded to two other family child care in Arlington Heights in 2016 after a waiting list of over 22 families in one year. We understand that there is an increasing need for quality childcare in the Arlington area, which is growing rapidly.

Outdoor Play
Children can enjoy outdoor playtime in a large, fenced-in yard with a variety of outdoor toys. Additionally, walks around the neighborhood in a stroller or wagon are taken.

Age-Appropriate Curriculum
We offer a comprehensive, research-based, age-appropriate, learn-through-guided play bilingual curriculum that is taught daily. Our lesson plans and daily activities for the children cover cognitive, language, physical, social-emotional, and adaptive/self-care learning domains.

Our Infant Program offers a nurturing environment with personalized care, bonding, learning opportunities, and attentive support for every growing baby.

Mission
Our aim is to equip your children with the skills to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and countries, providing them with broader educational, professional and social opportunities throughout their lives.

Pedagogy and Approach
Our school provides a unique combination of challenging academics, emotional support, and creative stimulation that lays a solid... foundation for our students’ future. We incorporate daily practices to develop practical life skills and sensorial activities. Our hands-on, project-based approach engages children in interactive ways to connect with the Spanish narrative. This includes science experiments, gardening, cooking, arts, and crafts. We follow the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which values child-led learning and team communication. Our environment serves as the “Third Teacher,” allowing children to express themselves through “drawings, sculpting, dramatic play, writing, and painting” and learn through “The Hundred Languages.” We document each child’s journey through pictures, videos, and portfolios. We also prioritize global and community awareness and cultural sensitivity, celebrating diversity, heritage, and differences. Our small ratio allows us to provide individualized support for each child’s emotional, physical, and cognitive needs.

Our curriculum ... is based on an emergent approach, where children are gradually introduced to elements and best practices from progressive curriculums such as Reggio Emilia and Pedagogy of Play. We encourage self-directed play, which helps children to develop decision-making and planning skills. Our curriculum is co-constructed with the children, and their interests guide our topics of investigation. At our center, we believe in creating a loving and supportive community. We are committed to being engaged and involved in the child’s everyday learning, and we strive to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can live, grow, play, discover, develop, dream, and learn.
